Copywriting for an e-shop during the crisis year of 2020

You’ll find Moser glass in the collections of royal families, presidential councils, the Vatican, the United Nations, and Asian monarchs. 160 years ago, the glassworks from Karlovy Vary changed the entire crystal glass approach, before starting another revolution in the use of colours at the start of the 20th century. To this day, the glassworks has preserved the traditional production methods and its 100% handmade manufactory. However, when the coronavirus crisis hit in spring 2020, Moser’s sales came to a crashing halt. The glassworks then asked the company FG Forrest to make them an e-shop in record time to use as a new sales channel. And we at Logos received the task of preparing the product texts for the website in Czech and English. In the beginning, the process was quite spontaneous, requiring a large work capacity, yet we managed to create the content, and during its first month, the e-shop generated millions in return. After three months, Moser’s sales returned to the pre-crisis normal.

Moser’s foreign clientele is especially important. That’s why the e-shop was designed from the outset on a global scale, and customers from around the world (with a few exceptions) can use it to order crystal products. This made the English version of the website a fundamental piece of the project’s success. Aside from the three Czech copywriters who speak high-level English, we also brought two native speakers into the text creation process, who ensured the English texts possessed all the necessary qualities.

Working with Moser isn’t only a prestigious experience but also a highly enjoyable one. And that’s why we were happy to see the website order grow into long-term, continuous marketing. It’s here that we help with social media content, PPC ads, the creation of B2C and B2B newsletters, and internal magazine editing. Our joint efforts have repeatedly garnered recognition in industry contests.
